During the last ten years, NCIC introduced a series of Dawning high-performance computers and super server systems, and three major series server products named TIANCHAO, TIANYAN, TIANKUO is formed by this including more than 30 kinds of servers on company of Dawning. The Dawning server is not merely used in the information procession of national network, biological genome sequencing, contributing to the national information security and to the emergence of new-developing biological industry of our nation, but also has finished the computation tasks of more than 300 national-level subjects in meteorological phenomena, petroleum, nuclear energy and basic scientific computation, with a batch of achievements of international repercussions honored, thus establish the foundation of China's high-performance computer industry.  

　　Regarded Dawning 1000A and Dawning 2000/3000 super servers as the capital equipment ten national high-performance computer centers are already set up in the whole country. These centers (especially the center of Beijing in Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences) have played an important role in popularizing parallel computation. Compared with 1995, the scientific research personnel of our country who are engaged in parallel computation have already increased greatly and a lot of universities and R&D institutions have been transferred from only PC-based scientific researches to large-scale parallel computation, which improved the scientific research level by a large margin. Some enterprises in the big city such as Shanghai begin to adopt the parallel computer to do simulation of designing. The technological radiation of the Dawning server is not only embodied on the hardware and system software engineering, but also embodied by the training, popularizing and improving of the parallel algorithm and parallel programming at the same time.  

　　The technology of the Dawning server not merely transfers the intellectual property right to the Dawning company, offering competitive key technology for core business of Dawning, but radiates to the leading enterprises such as Lenovo and large-scale information service companies.

　　Based on the technology of cluster, the first production series of super server of China comes into being. Along with its coming forth, the monopoly that foreign production has imposed on Chinese super computer market is broken, and the game rule is modified. In the evaluation report of limiting the export of super computer, the National Audit Bureau of USA referenced the series machine of Dawning as the limiting standard of exporting to China. Due to the coequal competition between Dawning super computer and foreign famous companies, the well-known foreign brands depreciate greatly and pervasively. Only for this, the Dawning super computers save thousands of millions of dollars for our country every year.

　　The Dawning super computer has been the prevalent production in domestic market, and has been accepted and widely used in many major projects and key businesses. Besides this, the Dawning No.1 has also been exported abroad and equipped the Mubarak International Scientific Academe in Egypt. The success of Dawning super computer in Egypt has a great influence on Egypt and the around countries, leads a new way for exporting of 863 advanced technological products and exploiting foreign market. After that, the dawning super computer has been exported to many countries as the representation of advanced science and technology products, and has played an important role in aiding foreign projects which our country makes to Cameroon, Mexico, Jugoslavia, Pakistan and so on.

• As the representative products of science of the technology, the Dawning No.1 was written into the working report of government by (former) Premier Li Peng in 1994.
  
• The dawning 3000 is honored as one of the top ten science and technology news in 2001 by the academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.
  
• During "the 2nd Chinese Science and Technology Activity Week" and "the 5th International Scientific and Technology Exposition of Beijing in China", the Dawning 3000 is chosen into the Top-10 Instance of the last five years by CCTV.
  
• The Dawning 3000 is written into “The Report on the National Economy and Development of the Society” in the 5th Session of the Ninth Conference of Chinese People Representative.
  
• The Dawning 3000 is mentioned in the Chinese Exam-paper of the 2002 Entrance Examination for College (Beijing).
